1912 Dining Bar – Haymarket
So the boss takes us to this new place before it’s official opening for dinner, and I have to say, like woah! Amazing food! So the location is not exactly at your high end circular quay or darling harbor locations, but the food quality is definitely up there with the big boys.
Take a look at the starters. Gotta try: miso scallops. The cuttlefish is good too.
We each had our own mains, wagyu beef, pork belly, miso salmon, duck. I loved the duck. Got to try every one else’s too. The fish is perfectly cooked, pork and beef were delicious and well presented
The Ehire, a dried japanese fish fin, is fantastic with drinks. It has a slight sweet/salty chewy texture reminds me of dried cuttle fish slices (but much better!).
For dessert, I was brave enough to try the wasabi, chili chocolate ice cream. Wasabi was surprisingly good. The whipped cream helped reduce the spice in the chili chocolate

Went back again, tried some drinks!
