Auction Room – Melbourne
Melbourne sure is awesome for brunch. Visited The Auction Room, lovely friend took me there for brunch! Menu is seasonal and changes. So I guess there’s always something new every season!
This is this season’s menu.
Let’s start with coffee!
“Schadenfreude” – pork belly with potato & ham terrine. The pork is nice and properly seasoned. I particularly loved the terrine! Nice and thin layers.
Poached eggs on sourdough with AR relish. Poached perfectly, nice bread, and interesting and good relish.
Crisped chickpeas fritters. It’s nice and crisp! I don’t think I’ve tasted anything quite like it, and I really enjoyed it.
I love melb for their fantastic cafe culture. Just a note, plan ahead for melbourne! Too many choices!
