jStyle issue 14 2016
Another year and more articles!
This magazine is now available online and distributed free at most Japanese restaurants around Sydney. I’ve managed to pick up a last year’s copy at SMASH! Anime convention as well.
The content is wonderful. Anyone who is looking to visit Japan, do get a copy of this for some ideas for places to go, what to do and see.

This is the product of multiple tasting sessions and many drunken nights. Lots of “research” was done for this article of course!
Topics covered are:
1) History of Sake
2) Drinking Culture
3) Types of Sake (What is Junmai?)
4) Sake Metre Value
5) How Sake is prepared and served
6) Popular brands

This was a wonderful year indeed! I had the opportunity to visit Tokyo and spent many days combing through Akihabara. I’ve picked out a few things to do and places to visit as well as how to get there via the train.

Visited SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show 2015. It was quite the experience. Turn out is pretty fantastic. For anyone who is looking to attend SMASH! 2016, and wanting to visit the Maid Cafe, the 1st thing through those gates is to make a beeline straight to the Maid Cafe and make a booking for it.
If possible, do dress up too and enjoy the day!

Thank you for reading!
Enjoy!

I run Samurai Judo Academy in Newcastle and coordinate Cultural judo exchanges between Newcastle and Ube Judo Association. I plan to bring a team to Japan in September, so would love to get hard copies of your wonderful magazine. Is this possible?

Hi Ken, thank you for your interest! I will forward your email to my editor and get them to organise something for you.
Within Sydney I believe it is distributed at quite a few Japanese restaurants, and you should be able to just pick them up from there.
Japan is a wonderful place. I really did enjoy my trip. I hope you do too!
